"Clicker training" uses the established principles of positive reinforcement, or operant conditioning. It's interesting and fun for both the llama and trainer because the llama actually learns to participate actively in its own training. Jim Logan presents the techniques clearly, and with a little practice you will have an additional means to interact successfully with your llamas or alpacas. You can make them easier to catch and halter, stand to be touched all over, handle their feet for toenail trimming, plus teach them any number of amusing tricks.
