Shasta pack system (same as the Ollie Llama packs) Comes complete with leather saddle (fleece has been replaced) leather breast collar, fleece britching, two rope cinches, two purple panniers, purple rain fly. In good trail ready condition. Ships from Hutchinson, KS.
Detailed info:
The SADDLE is made of thick saddle leather, padded with foam enclosed in sheepskin. This provides clearance over the llama’s spine, and allows full movement of the llama’s shoulders and back without causing pressure points.
The cinches are polyester rope, which is cooler for the llama. They are attached to the saddle with 2” side-release buckles.
The leather breast collar, also lined with fleece, is shaped to dip from the shoulder to the base of the llama’s neck and is held in position by a strap going to the front cinch. The fleece-covered britching strap may be positioned under the tail or further down under the haunches.
The PANNIERS are made of 430 denier coated pack cloth with ballistic cloth on the bottom of both the panniers and the outside pocket. There is one large compartment with a firm foam pad against the llama’s side. The top is closed by a locking draw-string. There is a 2” wide adjustable strap that compresses and supports the load. The top flap is held down securely with buckles at the lower front and rear. There is a large gusseted pocket on the outside that runs the length of the flap.
The pannier is suspended by an aluminum rod which fits into wire brackets on the saddle, and is held in place by Velcro straps. There is a loop strap on top of each panniers for easy loading, and two buckled straps for attaching extra items, such as tents or sleeping pads.
